Eligibility criteria:
Competitors with a better ranking than step 17 in the “RUDOLPH-Tabelle” in any competition are not permitted to take part in championships. The actually “RUDOLPH-Tabelle” will be provided as an appendix of invitations of championships. Masters swimmers which have participated in Olympic Games, in open World Championships or in Continental championships during the past 4 years are not allowed to take part in Masters championships.
AGE GROUPS
CSIT Swimming championships (regular) will be divided into 4 age categories:
• 13 years old and younger
• 14 and 15 years old
• 16 and 17 years old
• 18 years old and older
The date of reference is December, 31st of the year the Swimming championships of the CSIT will take place
CSIT Masters championships will be divided into the following age categories:
• 25 to 29 years old
• 30 to 34 years old
• and so on with 5-year-steps
The date of reference is December, 31st of the year the Masters championships of the CSIT will take place.
Athletes participating in the Master Championship cannot participate in the regular Championship and on the contrary.
Younger swimmers are allowed to start in older age categories, but they can only start in one single age category per one-day part. The Relay will be counted in the age category of the eldest swimmer. Mastersrelays willstart with the following rules: The age of the members of the relay will be added and the summary is the age of the relay.
Age categories are:
• 100 – 119
• 120 – 159
• 160 – 199
• 200 – 239
• 240 – 279
• 280 – 319
• 320 and older.
Masters Relay will be counted in the age category which includes the summary of the age of the membersfrom the relay. Unions have only to register the numbers of relays according the registration points. The definitely relay (members) must be provided to the organizer one day before the start of the relay competition.
Composition of the team:
There are no limitations regarding the global number of participants per Union. There are no limitations regarding the number of participants per Union, per competition and per age category. Each Union can register unlimited teams for each relay race per category, but only the best team will be counted in order in of the results. The second (third…) best team of an Union will be counted behind all best teams per Union. A competitor is allowed to start only in one relay category.
